My name is Magda. I am a mum of two girls, and this is my humble attempt of a blog.

It is a space for parents who love traveling and believe that starting a family rather than being a show-stopper for adventures, is a beginning of a new exciting one.

Before having children, we had our own adventures, bigger and smaller, and I enjoyed documenting them for my family and friends with my own words and my husband's photos - and even though those were just short stories that I was writing on the go, they turned out to be the only written memories from our trip.

After our big “around the world” trip came to an abrupt end due to Covid and me getting pregnant, we didn’t really think about traveling for a while. But after our first trip with 13-month old Hanna to Lofoten Islands, Norway, we realised there is no reason why we cannot enjoy travelling after starting a family. As partents we want to be the ones who show the world to our children, let them taste, smell, understand and appreciate the world around us - and what is a better way to do it than travelling to places with inspiring nature and people?

The idea for this blog came after so many friends and family members were surprised about the way we do holiday with our children. Winter trip to Lofoten islands by train? 2 weeks of thru hiking in Arctic Sweden? CHINA…?!

For us the choice of destinations came naturally and the way we wanted to do it was not that different to what we were doing before we had kids. But to our surprise sometimes it was difficult to come across some basic information you need to plan the journey, especially going to Tibet and China in general.

I decided to write down our experiences and share the knowledge we aquired along the way. It is meant both as an inspiration and a practical how-to guide to off-the-beaten-path family adventures.

We love exploring the outdoors and experience the world while traveling overland. We fell in love with slow train travel, we never do "plane hopping" - for me this is not only detrimental to the climate, but also defeats the point of travelling. We don't go places just to see them, but rather to experience them - as cliche as it sounds, for us this is the only way it makes sense.

Come and join us on our adventure!
